Oregon High Desert Grotto
I'm Gina Wendelin, and I am a member of the Oregon High Desert Grotto. I've been caving with the grotto for a couple of years now. At first I was a little hesitant to go caving because I was afraid of going into a cold dark place, but once I realized the beauty found inside the cave and the experience of doing something I never imagined I would do, I soon learned how fun it can be. I really enjoy the off-trail hiking getting to the caves because we are able to see some really beautiful areas of Central Oregon and beyond. The members of this grotto are a great bunch of people that I enjoy spending time with. In addition to caving I enjoy hiking, camping, spending time with my husband and taking my two dogs to the dog park.
