Oregon High Desert Grotto
My name is Jeremy Wendelin I have been caving with the grotto for over five years now. I first got into caving when I first moved here to Central Oregon when my wife Gina took me into some local lava tubes. I have been hooked ever since. It has truly been a great experience from the Oregon desert, to the Cascade mountain range and our trips are a really great place to see some of Oregon’s real wild places. I have never met a better group of people to spend my times outdoors with. I have been in some really cool caves in Oregon, Idaho, and California. I enjoy all aspects of caving from vertical, horizontal, to helping out with various caving projects. For me going caving is like being in a time capsule: it is an underground wilderness frozen in time. Other activities I enjoy are backpacking, fishing, disc golf and reading. I also volunteer for international faith based groups that provide aid for the poorest of the poor.
